Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ) (Communication navigation surveillance/air traffic system)
Summary
2010-07-19: Controller noticed HIDIG on data strip for ABX2281, Boeing 767-200, enroute from New York (KJFK) to Halifax (CYHZ), and asked the flight crew if they wished the MAHONE6 arrival at Halifax. The pilot responded that they were anticipating that approach, as that was what was in their flight plan data. This was not on the data available to the controller; the specific approach was not in the flight strip data. This could have resulted in the pilot turning on the approach after HIDIG contrary to what the controller may have been expecting. The controller cleared the aircraft for the MAHONE arrival. There was no impact on operations.
