Incident at CYAW
Summary
2010-06-22: A British ship contacted the Halifax tower with information about a military aircraft involved in an ongoing exercise that was unable to land on the ship due to weather conditions. The tower was advised that the aircraft had a fuel problem and was declaring an emergency. Clearance was issued to Shearwater (CYAW). Coordination was undertaken due to the penetration of restricted airspace. It was subsequently determined that there was no fuel issue, no emergency and the aircraft landed in Shearwater without further incident.
