Incident at LOPRO Intersection

2010-06-15: AFR008, Boeing 777-300, enroute from Paris (LFPG) to New York (KJFK), was on a cleared route of CYMON intersection direct to TOPPS intersection. After the handoff from Gander the Moncton controller determined that the aircraft was south of course by 30 nautical miles and proceeding on a 60-degree deviation from direct TOPPS. The controller questioned the flight crew on the routing and the flight crew reported that they were proceeding direct TOPPS but the track of the aircraft still was not correct. The controller then re-cleared the aircraft direct to ALLEX intersection for the balance of flight-planned route. The aircraft then turned correctly for direct ALLEX. No other aircraft were affected.
