Incident at JEBBY Intersection (ATS operating irregularity)

Summary

2010-06-09: The estimate was passed from New York Oceanic to Moncton regarding IBE6165, Airbus A340, enroute from Madrid (LEMD) to Boston (KBOS) at 38,000 ft. The estimate was transcribed correctly, but the altitude was incorrectly passed to flight data personnel as 35,000 ft. to generate the printed strip. The printed strip with an altitude of 35,000 was put in the data board to replace the handwritten strip with 38,000 ft. The discrepancy was noted when the aircraft checked in on frequency and radar identified at 38,000 ft. There were no conflicting aircraft or any other operational impact.
