Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Overshoot/missed approach, Conflict - potential)
Summary
2010-06-01: C-GAHQ was on the late left downwind for Runway 15 in Fredericton (CYFC) when C-FJXI entered the zone lined up early base for Runway 15. Advisory/update was provided to both. F-JXI advised that C-GAHQ was in sight and would follow. The Flight Service Station (FSS) observed C-GAHQ and C-FJXI in close proximity on base. C-FJXI lost C-GAHQ and passed in front of him turning final. The FSS requested that C-FJXI pull up and go around to join the right circuit due to traffic joining the left circuit. One to two minutes later, C-FNIN was early left base for Runway 15 circuits and C-FJXI was right downwind for Runway 15. Traffic was passed to C-FJXI (C-FNIN). C-FJXI advised that C-FNIN was in sight and would follow. The FSS observed C-FJXI turn from base to final above C-FNIN. Traffic information was passed again. C-FJXI indicated that he would pull up and return to Moncton (CYQM). C-FNIN landed on Runway 15.
