Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2010-02-17: WJA 486, Boeing 737 7CT, enroute from Toronto (CYYZ) to Moncton (CYQM), executed a missed approach from final on Runway 29 due to a Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System Resolution Advisory (TCAS RA). The cause was a Cessna 172 aircraft on the downwind. WJA486 joined the circuit and landed with out further incident. TSB Case Closed.
2010-03-16: UPDATE TSB: A10A0020: WJA486, a Westjet Boeing 737-700 on a flight from Toronto to Moncton, was on final approach when the flight crew carried out a missed approach due to receiving a TCAS RA. A Cessna 172 on downwind for the same runway had drifted toward the runway centerline. WJA486 carried out another approach from which they landed safely without further incident.
