Incident at GOOSE BAY NL (CYYR) (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

Summary

2010-02-16: OE-FAB (Aurora Flight Services), Diamond DA42, enroute from Goose Bay (CYYR) to Sept-Îles (CYZV) departed from Runway 26 from intersection Bravo. At approximately 3,000 ft. down the runway the aircraft blew the right main tire and aborted the takeoff roll. The aircraft was unable to taxi off the runway and assistance was requested. Runway 26 was closed to traffic. Eventually the aircraft did start up and taxied off the runway under its own power. Runway 26 was reopened 37 minutes after the incident.
