Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

Summary

2010-02-03: C-FZKH, Piper PA44 180, advised of possible gear problems at 07:46Z(Outside Published Aircraft Rescue & Fire-Fighting (ARFF) hours). After flying two low passes, the flight requested ARFF be placed on standby for landing. ARFF was called in and on-site at 08:26Z. C-FZKH landed safely on Runway 33 at 08:42Z and shut down on the runway. A tug was escorted to allow removal of the aircraft. C-FZKH was clear of Runway 33 at 09:05Z. During this time Runway 33 was unavailable. The area control centre was notified. No other aircraft were impacted. There were no injuries and no damage to C-FZKH was reported. Inspection of Runway 15/33 was conducted. No debris was reported. Nil TSB.
