Incident at 4141N06027W


2010-01-29: UPDATE TSB: A10A0012: TXC4823, Ilyushin IL76, was en route from the Dominican Republic to Gander and had been cleared by the New York Oceanic FIR to Gander via NOVAC CARAC YQX. On initial contact with Moncton ACC, the flight crew advised that their next waypoint was NOVAC. The controller noted that the aircraft was already beyond NOVAC and approximately 50 nm off course tracking direct Gander at which point the controller re-cleared the aircraft direct to Gander. There was no loss of separation or affect on other traffic.
2010-01-22: TXC4823 (Transaviaexport), Ilyushin IL76, enroute from Samana, Dominican Republic (MDCY) to Gander (CYQX), had a flight plan route filed as NOVOK CARAC YQX and New York Oceanic confirmed the aircraft had been cleared NOVOK CARAC YQX. On initial contact pilot informed controller that the next intersection was NOVOK. The aircraft was already east of NOVOK off course by approximately 50 nautical miles on an apparent track direct to Gander. TSB Case Closed.
