Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2010-01-18: JZA996, DHC 8 301, enroute from Montreal (CYUL) to Moncton (CYQM), declared an emergency due to a hydraulic problem. Aircraft Rescue and Fire-Fighting (ARFF) responded. The aircraft landed safely at 03:50Z.
2010-01-28: UPDATE TSB A10A0010: JZA 8996, an Air Canada Jazz De Havilland DH8-300, registration C-FJVV, was en route from Montreal to Moncton when the flight crew noticed that the number one hydraulic system pressure was decreasing. The crew elected to continue to Moncton and approximately 10 minutes prior to landing noted that the hydraulic pressure was at 800 pounds where normal pressure is 3000 pounds. They then declared an emergency, carried out the appropriate checklist, and carried out a flapless landing without further incident. Further information is forthcoming from the operator.
