Incident at FORT MCMURRAY AB (CYMM)

Summary

2005-06-09: JZA 8165, a DHC-8-300, departed Fort McMurray and the crew advised shortly after getting airborne of a possible gear problem. The crew cancelled IFR and landed VFR without further incident.
2005-06-14: UPDATE TSB reported that the Air Canada Jazz DHC-8 102, C-GONH, departed Fort McMurray (CYMM) for Edmonton (CYEG) as flight JZA 8165. The nose gear would not retract, and the aircraft returned to CYMM with no involvement from ARFF. No mechanical faults were found on the aircraft and it was suggested that the nose gear lock had been left engaged during ground handling. Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the crew advised that the Nose Landing Gear lock was out. The lock was re-seated and the a/c departed without incident.
