Incident at RANKIN INLET NU (CYRT)

Summary

2005-06-07: AT 506, a Cessna Citation 550, departed Rankin Inlet for Yellowknife at 1819Z. At 1912Z, the crew advised the FSS that they were returning due to a problem with a door seal. AT 506 landed without furher incident and no was assistance was requested.
2005-06-09: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that on the climb-out at Rankin, the crew of AT 506 noticed a squealing noise coming from the main cabin door and elected to return for further investigation. Once on the ground, they discovered that the safety chain from the air stairs had been caught in the door seal. No damage was found on the seal and the aircraft departed Rankin and returned to Yellowknife with no further incident.
