Incident at STONY RAPIDS SK (CYSF)

Summary

2005-06-03: C-GMAQ, a float-equipped DHC-2 Beaver operated by Transwest, ran aground after landing at Dodge Lake, north of Stony Rapids, causing damage to the floats, struts and empennage. There were no injuries to the the pilot and 2 passengers.
2005-06-06: UPDATE TSB reported that the Transwest Air float-equipped De Havilland Beaver DHC-2 MK1, C-GMAQ, was landing at Dodge Lake, SK. The wind was not as the pilot anticipated. Reportedly, the wind switched during the approach from a headwind to a crosswind. The aircraft landed long and ran into shallow water near the shore. The floats and float struts sustained damage and the aircraft stopped upright but with the tail down in the water. There were no injuries. (TSB re-classified this occurrence as an incident).
