Incident at RANKIN INLET NU (CYRT) (Incursion - runway - animal)

Summary

2005-06-02: Rankin Inlet FSS staff observed a dog on the runway and dispached an airport maintenance vehicle to remove the dog.
2005-06-07: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the dog was recovered by airport personnel and taken to its owner the dog broke his chain and was on his own a walk about. There are hundreds of sled dogs in the hamlet and once in awhile they get lose. This event did not cause any interruptions or delays to air traffic at Rankin Inlet.
