Incident at FORT MCMURRAY AB (CYMM)

Summary

2005-05-30: The Air Spray (1967) Ltd. Lockheed 188C, C-GZCF, was operating as ASB 90 on a local training flight at Fort McMurray, AB. During the takeoff roll, the number 1 engine (Allison 501-D13) only indicated 1350 SHP where 3000 SHP was expected. The takeoff was discontinued at approximately 50 kts and the aircraft returned to the ramp for inspection. Maintenance determined that the speed sense valve did not close the 5th and 10th stage bleed valves. An SDR will be filed with Transport Canada.
