Incident at YELLOWKNIFE NT (CYZF)

Summary

2005-05-24: Just after AT 801, a DHC-7, had landed on Runway 33 at Yellowknife, the Tower Controller observed a plume of grey and white smoke coming from inside the left engine. The CFR alarm was sounded and an emergency crew responded. The Tower noticed the smoke quickly dissipated and the crew of the aircraft advised they had everything under control. The Emergency vehicle followed the aircraft to its parking area with no further incident. No impact on other aircraft or vehicles.
