Incident at EDMONTON INTL AB (CYEG)

Summary

2005-05-30: UPDATE TSB reported that the Westjet Boeing 737-200, C-GWWJ, was on the approach for Edmonton and during the flap selection, the crew noticed the 'LE FLAP TRANSIT' light remained illuminated. The approach was discontinued and after co-ordinating with ATC, the Non-Normal checklist was actioned and a flaps 15 landing was completed without incident. Maintenance found a damaged wire causing an intermittent light operation. The wire was spliced and the aircraft returned to service.
2005-05-20: While on approach to Edmonton, the crew of WJA 5923 reported an abnormal indication with the flaps. They elected to go around and landed without incident on the second approach at 0841Z.
