Incident at THE PAS / GRACE LAKE MB (CJR3)


2005-05-12: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the pilot observed a flickering R/H gear indication prior to landing. When the a/c was slowed down, the light came on solid and the gear cycle was completed. The pilot inspected the gear after landing and contacted Winnipeg maintenance. It was decided`that the problem was an indication problem and the aircraft was safe to return to YWG. After returning safely to YWG, the aircraft was jacked up and the gear swung. It was noticed that the r/h switch was barely making contact, so the switch was adjusted and gear operations checked. The a/c was then returned to service.
2005-05-02: C-GNDI, a Piper Cheyenne, was on final at Grace Lake when the crew reported that they had an unsafe gear indication. They were able to have Beaver Air personnel view the gear while they conducted a low approach. The aircraft landed safely at 2257Z.
