Incident at YELLOWKNIFE NT (CYZF)

Summary

2005-04-19: The Buffalo Airways Ltd. Douglas C54E-DC (DC-4) was operating locally at the Yellowknife, NT airport. During departure, the #4 engine (Pratt & Whitney - USA R-2000-4) experienced a rapid loss of oil quantity. The engine was shut down and the aircraft returned to Yellowknife. Maintenance replaced the oil return line from the oil cooler and the aircraft was returned to service.
