Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)
2005-04-06: The crew of CJT 574, a B727, rejected their takeoff at Winnipeg with an abnormal engine indication. They taxied back to the apron and returned for another departure, whereupon they rejected the takeoff a second time with the same indication. The aircraft finally departed successfully at 0652z.
2005-04-08: UPDATE TSB reported that CJT 574, a Boeing 727-223, registration C-FCJF began takeoff at Winnipeg, MB. The crew elected to reject the takeoff and taxied back to the apron. The aircraft attempted a second departure and rejected the takeoff once again. The operator advised that the #3 engine oil bypass light illuminated on both occasions. The oil filter was inspected and found to be clogged. The oil filter was replaced and a successful run up was completed. The aircraft was then returned to service and then took off without further incident.
