Incident at PRINCE ALBERT (GLASS FIELD) SK (CYPA)

Summary

2005-04-07: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the right hand wheel-ski hydraulic actuator end cap pin came out causing loss of the system hydraulic fluid. The pilot returned for a ski landing at Candle Lake, SK. The R/H ski actuator was then repined, system fluid replenished. The aircraft returned to Prince Albert a couple of hours later. No further problems were experienced. The aircraft is currently undergoing an annual inspection and floats will be installed. The AME has been instructed to do a detailed inspection of the skis and an SDR may then be submitted.
2005-04-05: At 1630Z while on final to Runway 26 at Prince Albert, the pilot of C-FVTN advised that he was unable to lower the wheels on the wheel/skis. The pilot held to the north of the airport and at 1645Z advised he was returning to CCL2. The pilot advised that assistance was not required.
