Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)
2005-04-08: UPDATE TSB reported that PAG 640, a Fairchild SA-226-TC registration C-FSLV, was en route St. Theresa, MB, to Winnipeg. Approximately 100 miles from Winnipeg at 16,000 feet, the left hydraulic pressure light illuminated. Approximately 15 seconds later, the right hydraulic pressure light illuminated and the hydraulic pressure fell to zero. The crew advised ATC and carried out a manual extension of the landing gear. AFF responded and the aircraft landed safely. The operator advised that the left hydraulic pump and left check valve had failed.
2005-04-01: At 1652Z when 45 miles north of Winnipeg, the crew of the Metro II, PAG 640, advised they had a hydraulic problem and would have to manually extend the gear. Emergency Services responded. The crew was able to extend the gear manually and the flight landed safely at 1707Z.
