Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2005-03-29: ACA 204 was at FL 330 IFR from Vancouver to Calgary and at 1749Z, the Edmonton Controller cleared ACA 204 to descend and maintain 14,000 feet ASL. At 1759Z, the crew of ACA 204 contacted the Calgary Terminal Controller in descent through 13,700 ASL. The Controller cleared ACA 204 to maintain 12,000 feet ASL. Safety was not assured when ACA 204 descended below 14,000 feet ASL without clearance. No loss of separation occurred.
