Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)
2005-03-18: PE 945, a BAe 32, had landed at Calgary, was taxiing northbound on Taxiway Charlie and the crew had been instructed to hold short of Runway 28. The a/c was observed crossing the hold line and partially entered Runway 28. JZA 8135, a DHC-8-300, which was on short final to Runway 28, pulled up and went around. The crew of PE 945 had read back the hold short instruction.
2005-03-23: UPDATE TSB reported that the Alberta Citylink Jetstream 32, flight PE 945, had landed on Runway 34 at Calgary Intl (CYYC) after a flight from Medicine Hat (CYXH). The aircraft exited the runway on Taxiway C2, and was cleared by Ground Control on Taxiway C, to hold short of Runway 28. The clearance was read back correctly by the crew. PE 945 proceeded past the hold-short line and stopped at the edge of Runway 28. The Tower Controller instructed JZA 8135, an Air Canada Jazz DHC-8, which was on short final with landing clearance for Runway 28, to overshoot. The taxiways were covered with light snow which obscured the hold-short lines and reduced the braking action.
