Incident at TALOYOAK NU (CYYH) (Aerodrome - other)

Summary

2005-03-18: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that both of these events were the result of vehicle operators forgetting turn on the rotating beacons as they drove onto the airside, apron area of the Taloyoak Airport. Not an unusual occurrence at many if not all of these remote communities. Aerodromes & Air Navigation Personnel have contacted the CARS communicators at Taloyoak as well as their supervisor suggesting that they may want establish a biannual (summer& winter) airport awareness program via their school and local radio and TV outlets.
2005-03-11: A Kenn Borek company agent drove onto the ramp at Taloyoak airport to meet KBA 515 without a rotating beacon on his vehicle.
