Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2005-03-02: WJA 33, a B737-200, was approaching Calgary on a flight from Edmonton when a passenger advised the crew that he had seen flames coming from one of the engines. The aircraft was cleared right in for Runway 28 and the equipment was called out for the arrival. The aircraft landed uneventfully at 1446Z and after an inspection of the aircraft and the runway by the emergency crew, normal operations were resumed at 1455Z. TSB reported that there was no evidence of flame or fire found, however, company maintenance is investigating.
