Incident at PEACE RIVER AB (CYPE)

Summary

2005-03-02: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that shortly after takeoff, the pilot noticed a low voltage indication. Rather than troubleshoot it in the air he decided to return to the airport and sort it out on the ground. After following the troubleshooting procedure with the AME, it was determined that the main voltage regulator failed, since switching to the auxiliary regulator restored the aircraft's electrical system. The main regulator was replaced and after a system check and the appropriate logbook entry made, the aircraft was returned to service.
2005-02-28: The pilot of C-FKMA, a Piper Navajo, called inbound to Peace River with a possible alternator failure; no assistance was required
