Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2005-02-10: The crew of PE 930, a BAe 31, reported a bird strike while 1/2 NM on final to runway 18 at Calgary.
2005-03-16: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the crew of PE 930 a Peace Air BAE Jetstream 31 reported striking a Mallard Duck while on approach to runway 28 at Calgary Intl. Airport. The impact occurred at 400 feet AGL 1/2 mile final for 28 not 18 as was initially reported outside of the airport facility. The aircraft was landed without further incident. Company maintenance discovered radome damage in the aircraft's nose section the unit was replaced and the aircraft was then returned to service. This event which occurred at night did not cause any interruption of air traffic nor were there any reported arrival or departure delays. The remains of the bird was not found.
