Incident at CORAL HARBOUR NU (CYZS)

Summary

2005-03-16: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the crew of CAV 7515 while taxing the aircraft a Saab 340 for departure from runway 34 at Coral Harbour had there right main gear get stuck in snow and drifting snow while in the process of Turing right onto the runway. The engines were shut down and the passengers removed to the terminal building. The aircraft was then towed out of the snow by a front end loader. The crew while inspecting the aircraft after it was removed from the snow discovered that the right propeller had been damaged. The company after they were advised of the situation at Coral dispatched an aircraft from their base at Thompson with another propeller. The propeller was changed and CAV 7515 departed for the South the next day on the ninth of February. This event did not cause any interruptions to other air traffic in the vicinity.
2005-02-09: CAV 7515, a Saab 340, was taxiing for departure at Coral Harbour and was in whiteout conditions. The crew missed the runway lights and got stuck in the snow outside the manoeuvering area.
