Incident at WINNIPEG / ST. ANDREWS MB (CYAV)

Summary

2005-02-04: C-GKTJ, a Cessna 152 with 2 people on board, was 6 miles northeast of St. Andrews when the pilot squawked 7700 when he was unable to receive calls from YAV Tower. The pilot subsequently changed the transponder to 7600. Tower was eventually able to make contact with C-GKTJ and have them change to another frequency. Contact was established and C-GKTJ was assigned a discrete transponder code.
