Accident at LETHBRIDGE AB (CYQL)

Summary

2005-02-02: C-FTGQ, a Cessna 182, was on Taxiway A taxiing to Runway 23 at Lethbridge to fly to Springbank when the a/c was overturned onto its back by the wind. The a/c came to rest 5 meters from the east edge of the taxiway, in the ILS critical zone. The pilot was the only occupant and he was not injured. TSB released the a/c and it was dragged off the airfield three hours later. It was reported that the damage to the a/c is substantial. Winds at the time were 39 knots gusting to 52 knots.
