Incident at PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE / SOUTHPORT MB (CYPG)

Summary

2005-02-02: Sundance 15, a military Slingsby Firefly, was 38 NM south of Southport on a dual training flight when the crew declared an emergency due to abnormal oil pressure indications. The flight landed safely on Runway 31 and was towed to the hangar. The AMO reported that a wire on the oil pressure transmitter broke, causing the abnormal indication. The wire was replaced and the a/c returned to service.
