Incident at PRINCE ALBERT (GLASS FIELD) SK (CYPA) (Conflict - potential, Alleged Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) infraction)


2005-01-27: C-GAON, a Cessna 310, was cleared from Regina to the Prince Albert airport (YPA) and to maintain 7,000 feet. TW 281, a BAe 31, was cleared from Prince Albert to the Saskatoon airport via V303 to maintain 6,000 feet. TW 281 departed Prince Albert at 1856Z. C-GAON was subsequently cleared to the YPA beacon via the 14 DME arc. At 1857Z, when 23 miles southeast of YPA, C-GAON was observed on radar descending from 7,000 feet. TW 281 leaving 4,800 feet was re-cleared to maintain 5,000 feet. C-GAON was re-cleared to maintain 6,000 feet.
