Incident at IQALUIT NU (CYFB)

Summary

2005-01-24: FAB 824, a HS 748, departed Iqaluit for Pangnirtung and a short time after takeoff, the crew advised that they were returning due to unspecified mechanical problems. The flight landed Runway 35 at 1331Z. An hour and a half later, FAB 824, departed a second time and the same result occurred. The flight returned and landed at 1535Z. No emergency was declared. It was reported that there may have been problems related to a fuel pump.
2005-01-31: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that after the first attempted departure, the aircraft was ground run and no fault was found. Following the second departure, the #1 starboard boost pump was replaced and the aircraft returned to service.
