Incident at EDMONTON INTL AB (CYEG)

Summary

2005-01-24: The Air Canada Airbus A320 (C-FTJP) departed Vancouver for Edmonton and on arrival at Edmonton, the crew received an ECAM slat fault indication. The slats were recycled twice with no change to the ECAM indication. Due to weather in Edmonton and Calgary, the crew elected to return to Vancouver where the aircraft landed without further incident. Company maintenance found that a slat over torque limiter had popped, requiring the Slat Rotory Actuator (part number 27-80-269) to be replaced.
