Incident at RED DEER REGIONAL AB (CYQF) (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

Summary

2005-01-21: WL 517, a Piper Navajo, departed Red Deer at 2201Z for Peace River and at 2236Z the pilot advised ATC he had to return to Red Deer because of an alternator problem. The aircraft landed on Runway 34 in Red Deer at 2318Z but then developed a nose gear problem that caused the aircraft to be disabled on the runway. The aircraft had to be towed off the runway and normal operations were restored at 2333Z. No equipment (emergency) was called out or requested. No impact on other IFR aircraft. (Referred to M. & M.
