Incident at WHITEHORSE/ ERIK NIELSEN INTL (CYXY) (Wake turbulence/vortices)

Summary

2005-01-20: B-4060, a Canadair RJ 700, was taxiing to the end of the ramp for de-icing at Whitehorse. The flight was preparing for departure to Russia. The taxiing was interrupted for several minutes due to poor visibility. Several minutes later, the owner of C-FGSI, a parked and tied down Cessna 206, contacted the crew of B4060 on the ground frequency and alleged that the jet blast from B-4060 had lifted his aircraft off the ground and some damage may have occurred. It was later reported that the Cessna 206 remained upright and was moved about a foot with the wings tied down. The owner reported that the rudder lock was blown off the rudder and the a/c has not yet been inspected for any damage.
