Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)

Summary

2005-01-17: PAG 503, a Metro II, departed Winnipeg for Dauphin and a short time after takeoff, the crew advised ATC that they had a high oil temperature reading on the starboard engine and elected to return. The flight landed safely at 0030Z without incident or inconvenience to other a/c. No emergency declared, no AFF requested.
2005-01-18: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the a/c had a high oil temperature reading on climb-out from Winnipeg. After discussion with maintenance, the crew turned back to YWG and upon descent, the oil temperature dropped. The oil cooler was replaced and the a/c returned to service.
