Incident at IQALUIT NU (CYFB)


2005-01-14: C-GTDE, a Lear 35, was on a medevac flight from Toronto to Iqaluit when the crew reported a possible problem with the landing gear and requested emergency services to be on standby. The crew then flew a circuit. YFB FSS advised the crew that the landing gear appeared to be down in the normal position. Apparently, only the right main gear light was working. The flight landed safely on Runway 35 on its second approach at 1925Z.
2005-01-21: UPDATE TSB Montreal reported that during the approach when the crew lowered the landing gear, only the green indicator of the right main illuminated. The crew requested emergency services and then landed without problem following the second approach.
