Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2005-01-12: KNX 1706, a Dassault Falcon 20, was on approach at Calgary when the crew carried out a missed approach due to a disabled a/c near the runway (CNK 327 - CADORS 2005C0078). The crew held for 20 minutes then requested clearance to Edmonton. They soon realized that they did not have sufficient fuel, so they informed ATC that they needed to land at Calgary and soon. The flight was given priority and landed at 1540Z, however, it impacted other aircraft and increased the backlog of traffic caused by the disabled a/c. TSB will be contacting the company.
