Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2005-01-12: KNX 401, a Dassault Falcon 20, departed Calgary on a night test flight near Calgary and subsequently, the left engine flamed out as it climbed through FL 210. The crew proceeded back to Calgary. CFR was called out to stand by. Prior to arrival at 0209Z, the crew was able to re-start the left engine. The aircraft landed on Runway 10 at 0220Z. Two other arrivals were delayed about 5 minutes. Initial indication suggests a faulty fuel control unit.
2005-01-14: UPDATE TSB reported that the KnightHawk Air Express Dassault Falcon 20, registration C-GTAK, was on a maintenance test flight returning to Calgary, AB. At FL 210 during the descent, the #1 engine (CF700-2D2) flamed out. The CFR was called out to standby. An engine re-light was accomplished approximately 5 minutes after the flame out and a normal landing took place. Company maintenance is troubleshooting the problem.
