Incident at SASKATOON / JOHN G. DIEFENBAKER INTL SK (CYXE)

Summary

2005-01-07: C-GKKL, a Cessna 414, was en route from Saskatoon to Regina when the pilot reported a rough engine and that he was returning. No assistance was required and the flight landed uneventfully at 1407Z.
2005-01-12: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that a Contract AMO checked the aircraft and found a cold cylinder. The spark plugs were changed with no improvement. The R/H magneto was changed out for an overhauled unit. Initially, there was marginal improvement and then the engine smoothed out and ran fine. A fouled plug from the previous changed out faulty magneto is suspected. The aircraft has been operating normally since.
