2005-01-05: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the aircraft was in the process of completing the second leg of a flight from Wilmington OH to Calgary, AB (i.e. Winnipeg to Calgary). The weather in Wilmington apparently was warm and very wet. The a/c departed YWG and the gear was retracted but the doors would not close. A 'gear down' selection was made and the gear would not come down. The emergency gear down system was selected and the a/c was safely landed in YWG. Knighthawk has dispatched two AME's to YWG to investigate and correct the gear swing problem. It is suspected that moisture in the landing gear switches and electrical connections could be the source of the problem.
2005-01-04: KNX 1706, a Falcon 20, departed Winnipeg on a night cargo flight to Calgary. The crew diverted the flight back to YWG due to an problem retracting the landing gear. No assistance was required and the flight landed uneventfully at 1318Z.
