2005-01-05: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the aircraft was in the process of completing the second leg of a flight from Wilmington OH to Calgary, AB (i.e. Winnipeg to Calgary). The weather in Wilmington apparently was warm and very wet. The a/c departed YWG and the gear was retracted but the doors would not close. A 'gear down' selection was made and the gear would not come down. The emergency gear down system was selected and the a/c was safely landed in YWG. Knighthawk has dispatched two AME's to YWG to investigate and correct the gear swing problem. It is suspected that moisture in the landing gear switches and electrical connections could be the source of the problem.
