Incident at WABUSH NL (CYWK)


2005-12-19: CME9732, Beech 99, enroute from Montreal (CYUL) to Wabush (CYWK) touched down on Runway 36 at 1242Z. Aircraft veered slightly to the left after touchdown but remained on the runway and stopped near the center of the runway. Pilot taxied off runway at 1246Z and advised breaks locked on touchdown. No impact. Nil TSB.
2005-12-23: UPDATE Maintenance & Manufacturing: Left hand outboard brake was frozen on touchdown causing the tire to deflate. Takeoff from Montreal was in heavy snow conditions and crew anticipated this problem and took the usual precautions, including a firm landing. Maintenance replaced wheel/tire assembly.
