Incident at SAINT JOHN NB (CYSJ) (ELT)
2005-12-01: Maintenance & Manufacturing Update: The time period was not right for operational test of the ELT but an apprentice had selected ARM before installing the ELT in an aircraft. The Director of Maintenance was reminded of the proper procedure & to instruct the apprentice accordingly.
2005-11-30: ELT emissions heard from 2231-2234Z, 2236-2237Z and 2238-2239Z. Signal was tracked to Atlantic Flight Center AME after first episode. However, when the AME reinstalled the cover on the ELT, it was set off the second and third times. RCC Advised. Nil TSB.
