Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2005-11-24: Maintenance & Manufacturing Update: Gear handle did not return to neutral after gear up selection after take-off. Safety solenoid circuit breaker popped. Gear selected down, breaker reset. Gear extension normal & returned to base. Maintenance inspected wiring & system but could not find a problem. Gear retraction tested normal. There were heavy rains & high winds at the time of the incident.
2005-11-23: CME402, Piper PA31, enroute from Moncton (CYQM) to Halifax (CYHZ) at 0045Z. Immediately after departure the aircraft advised that they had a problem and were returning to land. No assistance required. Aircraft landed at 0109Z. TSB Case Closed.
