Incident at GANDER INTL NL (CYQX)

Summary

2005-11-04: CLX776 B747 enroute Gander to Huntsville USA at time 1406Z approximately 50NM west of Gander flight advised shutting down number 3 engine due low oil pressure. Aircraft advised would continue to destination Huntsville. No emergency declared. Flight later advised would be landing at New York. TSB Case Closed A05A0146.
2005-11-07: TSB Update: A05A0146: After the aircraft, a Boeing 707-200 registration TF-ARJ, departed CYQX (Gander) the crew noticed low oil pressure and quantity on #3 engine (Rolls Royce RB2-11 524D serial number 12226). Approximately 50NM west of CYQX, the flight advised ATC that they were shutting down #3 engine for low oil pressure, and that the aircraft would continue to destination KHSV. No emergency was declared. Flight later advised would be landing at KJFK. At KJFK debris was found on the engine's chip detectors, and the engine will be replaced.
