Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Summary

2005-10-25: Maintenance & Manufacturing Update: The radios were not working, all navs including the Garmin 430 which the #1 comm is a part of were working fine, no loss of other systems. Atlantic avionics went through and checked all the avionics and determined there was nothing wrong with the radios and that it must be an electrical problem. The wiring was checked and the battery was replaced. All systems checked normally.

On the return leg (Sydney to Halifax) near Halifax, the communications were lost again. The pilot was able to establish communications with the control tower via cell phone.
