Incident at CHARLO REGIONAL AIRPORT (ATM - other)

Summary

2005-10-06: C-GTDI, Cessna 172N, enroute from Charlo (CYCL) to Moncton (CYQM) departed Charlo NB on a VFR flight plan to Moncton. Moncton Tower called Halifax FIC to close the flight plan at 1801Z. Halifax FIC did not have a flight plan for the aircraft. Halifax FIC followed up with Quebec FIC and determined that when Quebec FIC activated the flight plan Quebec FIC inadvertently sent an ?acceptance? message to Halifax FIC, and the flight plan was then closed. The aircraft flew to Moncton without ATS alerting service. Nil TSB
