Incident at Gander Domestic


2005-10-04: GES122, Gulfstream G5, enroute from Rome (LIRA) to Toluca (MMTO) was cleared to descend from 45,000 ft. to 43,000 ft. by ATC. At 0333Z, approximate position 135NM northeast of Gander, the aircraft was observed descending through 40,000 ft. When questioned by ATC, the pilot advised of a pressurization problem and was further cleared by ATC to 15,000 ft. The aircraft leveled at 30,000 ft., advised that the pressurization problem was fixed, and requested to climb to 43,000 ft. ATC re-cleared flight to 43,000 as requested. Nil TSB.
